The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so equips them to participate meaningfully in society.
We are very fortunate to be one of two existing Clontarf Academy programs operating in primary schools in Western Australia. This is hugely beneficial as we can develop relationships from an early age and contribute to these boys before reaching High School. The program invites indigenous boys from year 3 through to year 12 to engage and strive for better life outcomes through engagement strategies to keep boys on track, both academically and outside of school in the community.
Clontarf provide families with support getting their kids to school which is most important, keeping them engaged in the classroom and finally graduating school, being work ready young men.
At Nulsen Primary we pride ourselves on being as consistent as possible for our boys; keeping them active and healthy, giving opportunity for leadership and team work, striving to meet goals, engaging in the community with work site visits. All of these activities and general consistency is mandatory for building up these young men and providing the best possible chance for a better life outcome.
